I recently received a message on my Facebook that said something along the lines of “Hey Ty, I’m getting a couple of leads a day after 3 weeks following the MLM Blog Secrets, what am I doing wrong?”
Hmmm. 2 new leads a day for free with just 3 weeks worth of effort. There’s absolutely nothing wrong! That’s 60 leads a month, 720 leads a year if that pace continues. I know Amway reps who would cut off a limb for those numbers. The great thing is that if you continue doing the things that I teach in Blogging for Prospects (3 hours of free MLM Blog training) and MLM Blog Secrets, you will double, triple and quadruple those numbers over time.
Think about what it would take to go out and get 2 new leads a day in the offline world. Those are amazing results.
Once you crank it up to 2 leads a day, you might think about picking up MLM Blog Code, the click by click training that follows MLM Blog Secrets where I get into additional training on SEO, Flagship Content, HEO (Human Emotion Optimization), Copywriting and Making Money along with bonuses on taking your blog to the professional level.
If I could break down the power of blogging into two words they would be:
1. Relationships. Focus on building relationships.
2. Consistency. It’s really the missing link for most Network Marketers as well.

That’s really funny. Only 730 new leads per year! I suspect that the “average” network marketer doesn’t get two new leads a MONTH!

I’d have to agree, John. The MLM Blog revolution has begun. Watch what people are getting in the next 6 to 12 months.

Hey Ty,
With just 3 weeks of blogging and receiving 2 leads a day is awesome. When I started in my first 3 weeks I would have been excited to just receive a comment. I really had to figure out the traffic generation aspect of it.
So, your friend is doing very good only 3 weeks in.
Chat with you later…

I know many marketers who would LOVE to get 2 leads a day. As John said there are marketers who don’t even get 2 a month.
I know that, like Josh, I would have been super excited about comments in the first 3 weeks, let alone leads.
So, 2 leads / day, in just 3 weeks, that’s pretty good!
Thanks for the post!

I don’t think he will get 720 leads a day. He will get more I think. If he continues to blog consistently, with now only 2 leads a day, he will soon get 3 leads, 4 leads, to 10 leads a day!
In either case Ty, you have already helped us solve the problem of not having leads for our MLM business. Consistency rocks!

Hey Ding, I think you meant 720 leads a year, but 720 leads a day is not out of the question. Multiple streams of leads.
[Reply]
I like how you broke that down from 2 leads a day to the yearly amount that would equal. It is important to celebrate the small successes, isn’t it? When first getting started and learning from people who are getting 25-100 leads a day, it seems small and insignificant to get one or two. But in fact, any improvement is success. Thanks for your encouragement. @Josh, I got some comments on my blog this week and yippee!!! I am happy. Not getting 2 leads a day, yet…

Great point Ty! Too often we get short-sighted in what we are out to accomplish. I know Amway reps whose main goal is to just get 1 name a day – and many of them will spend 3-4 hours at it, every day, and finally give up by going and writing down the dude’s name working at 7-11 at 3am. They consider themselves a failure because they keep doing these 21-day challenges to get one name a day… Unfortunately, those names are even qualified – mostly people who were stalked and cornered in to giving a phone number – only to ignore all future contact. 720 names per year of people who are actually looking for what you are selling? What an awesome place to start.

Thank you, Ty, for the reminder to stay focused on consistency and relationship building and to put our accomplishments in perspective.
I was reminded of a similar lesson of putting things into perspective recently through someone on my own network marketing team. One of my business partners was recently complaining about feeling frustrated with the $200 residual paycheck she was earning each month in her mlm business. When we figured out that if she were to have created that much residual monthly income through an investment, she would have to have invested $24,000 and be earning a 10% return, she felt much better about it.
It’s easy to measure ourselves and where we are in our businesses against where we want to be and feel like we’re missing the mark. Since your blog post on the frequency of blogging related to customer acquisition, I’m trying to remember the slight edge principle with my online marketing and stay focused on what I can control…my activity.
Really, our activity is the only thing any of us can control when it comes to building a network marketing business.
Thanks for the great reminder and all the great training you’ve provided in mlm blog secrets and blog code!

Hello Ty, thanks for sharing this post. I also realized this that 1-2 leads a day for a start (1-3 months) in business is already awesome compared to nothing and not taking action at all…. And yes the secret is in building relationships and being consistent which will pay off in the long run… In fact I just earned a couple of dollars from SFP alone using blogging and social media which pays off my business expenses, etc
Thanks for your mentorship Ty.

Hi Ty
There is so much marketing hype out there that that it makes newbies
feel like if they’re not getting ’100 leads per day’ they are somehow failing.
This puts things into context and highlights the two REAL secrets to success
in our industry, whether it’s online or offline.
Relationships and consistency.
Great post.

Most of the 100 leads a day folks where doing it with Google Adwords and that has changed dramatically with the big fat Google Slap. 2 free leads a day can build into 10 leads free a day with consistent blogging effort (remembering that blogging is your home base and you need to get traffic to the home base).

Hi Kim, your blog looks great but maybe i can help you a little bit with your opt in offer. You are offering a free report on 3 elements to optimal health but then you tell your readers what they are before they opt in. Use a little curiosity and intrigue such as: “my free report will give you the 3 underground and overlooked elements of optimal health”. Don’t tell them what they are in the opt in. I would rewrite that headline about 20 times and choose ask other people around you what sounds most interesting.

Hey Ty,
Great post. You’re right on about imagine getting 2 leads a day offline, unlikely and the time and efforts involved. I’ve been to so many of those live networking luncheons at one point and would have LOVED to get 2 leads a day. Networking offline is costly compared to blogging online.
Had a lady recently told me that blogging/online marketing just doesn’t work for direct sales/home party folks, your thoughts?

I’m right there with you Ty.
That’s pretty good results, and just as you said, it will no doubt get better with time and experience.
Kind of like wine, it gets better over time. Everybody wants fast, big and immediate results. It’s just not the way it works. Those results will come over time as long as you consistently deliver.
That took me years to figure that one out. Glad I was patient enough.

I agree with the other comments on 2 leads a day, as my teenagers would say, that would be “sick”. I would settle for having some traffic to my blog right now, not sure what I’m doing but I’m not getting any SE traffic, maybe someone could offer some suggestions, I’m about 4 weeks in, is it the KW? I’m in the process of getting all my social media stuff setup, I have managed to post pretty much every day (except last night, family time).

Your first 30 to 60 days should be focused on Social Media traffic like I describe in Blogging for Prospects. One of the main reasons why people quit and fail at blogging is because the search engines take time, patience and a higher level of expertise (MLM Blog Code level stuff). Remember the to-do list and you will get traffic:

If someone is getting 2 leads per day he just need to double his effort to increase the amount of leads.

I know many people who have had to practically kills themselves for 2 leads a day (I won’t mention any names). People also have to realize you need to follow up with those leads. Two leads a day can take up a good portion of your time. Quality beats quantity any time.

As you said, there is nothing wrong at all in having that number of leads generated a day, because you are right in saying that it takes a lot of effort and energy to get those type of results by cold calling for example or even door to door tactics.
