My Grandpa used to say “Bug Eyes, you learn something new everyday”.

Yeah, he really called me “Bug Eyes”…

Pretty sure it was because I had these blue eyes that were way too big for my face.

My daughter Emma got the same eyes and she just gets “Oh my gosh, your eyes are so pretty”.

And I got “Hey, Bug Eyes”.

I’m cool with it…no real scarring. Besides, funny nick names are like a badge of honor in our family.

But Grandpa Ed’s “you learn something new everyday” saying has really struck me this year.

My birthday is in January and I honestly feel like I am learning more right now (every day) than I have in any other time in my life.

The big lesson I want to pass on to you today is to be ready for change.

My email newsletter used to consist of a picture of a James Bond looking guy with a focus on revealing secrets related to the Network Marketing industry.

When I first came up with the idea, I thought it would be cool to be kind of “secret agent like” and I had fun with it, but at some point I came to the realization that I am not really a secret agent.

I know…hard to believe, eh?

After a while, I got bored with the shtick and I am pretty sure that my female readers never really related to it in the first place.

So it was time for a change.

But what was going to be my shtick this time?

After some serious thought, an idea began to form. This was about the same time that I ran across an email expert who I knew of before, but never really dug very deep into his stuff. Much more on the Secret Email Expert in the future.

Heh. There I go again with the whole secret agent stuff. = )

Well, after reading a bunch of his emails and thinking back to what I learned about email at a $10,000 mastermind weekend, I realized what I needed to do.

My emails didn’t need a shtick. They needed a real and authentic voice….the real me.

So from now on what you see is what you get. If I learned a lesson that related to marketing and making money online by taking my 11 year old son to a “birds and the bees” class…

…Be prepared to hear about it.

Alright?

Hope you are cool with that, because I really doubt that you will get blog posts like this anywhere else (at least in our industry).

Now, since I took the time to explain all of that, I am going to save the Canned Ham winner until tomorrow.

But, the moment you have all been waiting for…

The number one way to make moolah on and off line is (drumroll): Make customers happy!

When you provide a product or service that makes people really happy (that solves a problem for them) you will basically be able to print money at will.

If you are struggling online right now, you might want to write down the ways that what you are selling makes people happy and solves problems.

OK, I’m out!

Talk to you soon -

When I launched the MLM Blog back in 2003, I really had no idea what I was doing. In fact, this is what my blog looked like:

Not so pretty huh? But it was a start and according to Ray Higdon (a top MLM Blogger today),

“We would all still be using stone tablets to get the word out unless Ty showed us the light!”

Now I don’t now about stone tablets, but I was early to the MLM Blogging game. Truth is, I started early, made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot.

I passed on what I learned in the form of a click by click training program called MLM Blog Secrets. But as we put together Blog Secrets and the more in depth MLM Blog Code, in partnership with my good friend Ann Sieg, I felt like one thing fell through the cracks…a WordPress Blog Theme designed for the Network Marketing industry.

Something easy and simple to use. Pretty much “Fill-In-The-Blank” so that non-techy people could take advantage of having the power of a blog.

So after a bit over a year on the drawing board I am pleased to open up MLMBlog Theme.

You will be able to get all of the cool details on the MLMBlog Theme page, but I wanted to make you a special offer.

If you pick up the MLMBlog Theme PRO version (regularly $97) in the next couple of days, you will get it for $47…nearly half off the regular price.

A couple of weeks ago, several of my blogs were hacked. I don’t think it was a targeted hack, more like someone being malicious and attempting to spread harmful viruses across the internet. If you ever get hacked, be sure to bring in a professional so that your work can be salvaged. Do not try to repair your site on your own.

If you have not been hacked and would like to protect your blog from future attacks, here is a list of plug ins that you might want to consider:

1. WP Security Scan:

WP Security Scan checks your WordPress website/blog for security vulnerabilities and suggests corrective actions such as:

Passwords

File permissions

Database security

Version hiding

WordPress admin protection/security

Removes WP Generator META tag from core code

2. AntiVirus:

AntiVirus for WordPress is a smart and effective solution to protect your blog against exploits and spam injections. Malware protection for your blog.

3. Bulletproof Security:

The BulletProof Security WordPress Security plugin is designed to be a fast, simple and one click security plugin to add .htaccess website security protection for your WordPress website.

4. TimThumb Vulnerability Scanner

The Timthumb Vulnerability Scanner plugin will scan your entire wp-content directory for instances of any outdated and insecure version of the timthumb script, and give you the option to automatically upgrade them with a single click. Doing so will protect you fromhackers looking to exploit this particular vulnerability.

I always try to find the good in everything and I guess the good coming from the hacking of my site is a new dedication to providing all new content for TyTribble.com.
