One of the traffic generation methods that I discuss in MLM Blog Secrets is commenting on other blogs, but let’s back up a step. Learning to become of effective blogger is a process and part of the process is to read the blogs of thought leaders in your niche. As you read these blogs you will gain a better understanding or your niche market and eventually become a thought leader and trusted advisor yourself. If your niche is Network Marketing, you might want to head over to MLMurls.com, where I have compiled a list of some of some of the best blogs in MLM.
Now, let’s look at a bit of a bloggers “to-do list” when it comes to reading other blogs:
- Read a minimum of 5 new blog articles a day in your niche.
- Leave comments on all 5 articles (be thoughtful and don’t spam your blog link…just use what is available to fill in your link)
- Pick your favorite blog post out of the 5 and write a post on your blog about it (link back to the original and ask for comments)
- Tell your friends on Facebook and your followers on Twitter about your post.
- Respond to each comment. (engage with your readers…it’s a conversation)

Hey Ty,
This is my first time commenting on your blog but I have to say it is the perfect blog post to be a commenter on.
Also, the part about picking your favorite post and writing your own post about it on your blog (with link back to orignal blog) is ingneious. I first saw you mention it in WWN and have done it a few times now. Works great!
Thanks for the post Ty.

Hi Ty,
I have always liked your idea about writing a post about another blog post and linking back to the original but it has taken me a while to change my mindset in this regard.
Somehow I got into my head the belief that my readers only wanted to read my personal posts. It wasn’t an intentional arrogance.
This is not so. Our readers also appreciate our recommendations and learn by this that “sharing the love” is about relinquishing our attachment so that there is more space for growth and community inclusion.
In addition it is especially important for beginner bloggers who often feel so fearful of being able to find content that they never start. For me it means that when I want to give more time to another part of my business, I don’t have to feel as if I am neglecting my blog because I don’t post personally every day.
Thanks for your leadership.

It took me a few weeks to get through all the videos and I’m still working to implement everything on my blog, but I’m seeing huge results in my traffic and opt-ins. Now that I’m back from vacation I’m going to tweak my offer and make the changes you suggested I make in the MLM Blog Code Bonus webinar. Your to-do list looks very simple and easy to follow! I’m glad you specified a certain number of blogs to comment on, because it can be overwhelming when you first start doing blog commenting! There are so many great blogs out there and sometimes, you just don’t know where to start — you want to read them all! (I know I do!). I don’t do blog commenting daily, but I’ve scheduled it at least twice or three times a week. Blog commenting is great because you get more ideas for your own blog posts, and you meet these amazing bloggers and thought leaders too, so it’s really worth investing your time in.
